Use this text to briefly describe your product. What is it, and what does it do?
This iconic "Kokos" (Coconut) vase was designed by the renowned Swedish ceramicist Hjördis Oldfors for Upsala-Ekeby in 1954. It is a quintessential piece of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design.
The vase features a spherical, organic form with a distinctive matte dark brown exterior. Its surface is decorated using the sgraffito technique, with fine vertical hand-etched lines that reveal the contrasting light clay beneath, mimicking the texture of a coconut. The interior is finished with a vibrant, glossy yellow glaze, creating a striking visual contrast.
Produced for only a short period between 1954 and 1958, pieces from the "Kokos" series are highly collectible and celebrated for their timeless, modernist aesthetic.
